LOCAL
MUSIC WITH AN “EDGE”
Edgewater, Denny Miyasato and Dave Toma,
have just released their new CD entitled
“Seasons Change.” Although they classify
themselves as “light alternative,” there
are several songs with a definite island
feel. One such tune sure to become a classic
is “This Dance.” It is a beautiful
ballad, inspired by Queen Liliuokalani’s
confidante, as Denny envisioned her at a
coronary ball, accepting an invitation to a
dance. Hapa’s Barry Flanagan’s mastery
on lead guitar highlights the background
acoustic by Jon Basebase. Another song with
Hawaiian flavor is “Ku‘ulei,” also a
beautiful ballad. But don’t let these
songs fool you. Edgewater also can rock with
the best of them, as you will hear on
“Sublime”. And fans of Kalapana or Toma
Natto will love the title cut, “Seasons
Change.” Edgewater offers something for
everyone! For everything there is a
season....and for every season, there is
Edgewater!
